Checking cut-off FUNAAB before you write JAMB will limit your mindset towards aiming high. Assuming FUNAAB cut off mark is 180, your mind will juggle to score above 180. But If you don’t have that mindset of checking UI cut-off, your mind will aim higher because you really don’t know what you are up against

University of Agriculture, Abeokuta requires all candidates seeking admission into any of its courses to possess at least five (5) SSCE credit passes in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics and the candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age by 1st of October in the year of admission.

 

These are the admission requirements to gain admission into FUNAAB

For admission into Agricultural programmes:

Candidates are required to have Five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two sittings for admission into any course of the programme. A waiver is given to candidates with a pass in Biology if he/she has a credit pass in Agricultural Science. A pass in Physics is acceptable only for Agricultural programmes.

In addition to O’ level requirements, candidates seeking Direct Entry admission shall possess GCE A’ level passes in Chemistry and one of Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, Mathematics or Geography. Holders of ND/HND qualifications with at least Upper credit in agriculture or related disciplines may be considered for Direct Entry. The University accepts NCE with at least credit in Agricultural Sciences.

For admission into Sciences and Engineering programmes:

Candidates are required to have five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two sittings for admission into any course of the programme.
In addition to O’ level requirements, candidates seeking Direct Entry admission shall possess GCE A’ level passes in any two of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Zoology/Botany OR ND (Upper Credit), NCE (Credit) in related areas from a recognised Institution.

NCE (Technical) is not acceptable for Engineering Programmes.
Holders of ND/HND qualifications with at least Upper credit in agriculture or related disciplines may be considered for Direct Entry. The University accepts NCE with at least credit in Agricultural Sciences.

For admission into Management Sciences Programmes:

Candidates are required to have five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other Social Sciences subject from Government, Principles of Account, Commerce and Geography are required for admission into Economics, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Enterprise Management and Entrepreneurial Studies.

In addition to O’ level requirements, candidates seeking Direct Entry admission shall possess GCE A’ level passes in Economics and at least one of the following: Mathematics, Government, Accounting, Business Management OR ND (Upper Credit) in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline. It accepts its own Diploma plus UTME requirement.

What is FUNAAB cut-off mark 2024

Permit me to quickly explain what cut off mark is and why Universities in Nigeria use it as a yardstick for admission.
Cut off mark is a simple English word that means a designated limit beyond which something cannot function or must be terminated. FUNAAB UTME Cut off mark is the required score from you by the university in order to gain admission to study your desired score. Those who sit for JAMB are called UTME candidates. This simple means JAMB is not the only way for you to gain admission into FUNAAB

While JAMB has the power to set cut off marks for universities, though some schools may have an understanding with JAMB to increase or decrease their cut off marks due to personal school policy. Mind you, Post UTME score is not the same with JAMB UTME score. You may pass JAMB and fail POST UTME.

FUNAAB, JAMB UTME cut off mark is varie and may change depending on school policy. This cut off is only applicable to some departmental courses in FUNAAB as some may require you to score above. Most often, competitive courses are usually the ones with higher JAMB cut off marks in other to reduce the entrance and overcrowd while the non-competitive courses follow the default cut off mark.
