Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin Admission Requirement

Al-Hikmah University like other schools have put in place some guidelines regarding admission requirement for new students. Al-Hikmah University stands out among Nigerian universities as a conventional private university with a well-articulated mission of promoting both academic and moral excellence for the good of the Nigerian nation in particular and for furthering the course of humanity in general.

The institution has continued to grow and develop in its quantity and quality of human, physical and material resources. While still growing, the University also has 8 Centres which includes Part-time and Professional Studies, Diploma and JUBEB Studies, ICT and Distance Learning, Islamic Heritage and Community Development, Research and International Cooperation, Summer Studies, Entrepreneurial and Vocational, Remedial and Extral Moral Studies and Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance.

For Undergraduate programmes in Al-Hikmah University, these are the admission requirement;
Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in O-Level/NABTEB Examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects relevant to their chosen course.

Credit in the English Language is compulsory for all candidates. In addition, credit in Mathematics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Degree Programmes in the Faculty of Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences and some Education Courses.

Direct Entry admission is also available for a candidate with suitable qualifications who obtained Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) DE Form.

For Sub-degree (Diploma) Programmes these are the requirement; 
Candidates are required to have a minimum of four (4) Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC.

Thanawiyyah/Tawjihiyyah Certificate of an Arabic Senior Secondary School duly registered with the relevant State Authorities or equivalent to any of the above mentioned qualifications will be considered.

Candidates for the Sub-degree Common Law Diploma Programme must possess five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature in English and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.

Candidates for the Sub-degree Common And Islamic Law Diploma Programme must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC Examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature-in-English, Islamic Studies or Arabic Knowledge and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.
