In this article, I am going to list out UNIBEN pharmacy courses outline. This simply means courses you will study before you can become a Pharmacy graduate. Pharmacy is one of the most sought after courses in Nigeria and UNIBEN is one of the best universities to study this course. Pharmacy is the science of preparing and dispensing medical drugs. The study of pharmacy involves chemistry and pharmaceutics, among other specialist topics.

Look around you, whether you live in a smaller city or the capital of your country, you’ve probably already noticed that pharmacies or drug stores are everywhere. You cannot walk for a while without stumbling upon one. This reveals the high demand for both pharmacists and medicine.

UNIBEN is one of the foremost universities in Nigeria to study Pharmacy. The undergraduate pharmacy programme commenced in 1970 in the then Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, which was part of Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Benin. In December 1975 it became a School in the College of Medical Sciences. The Senate of the University upgraded the School into a Faculty in October 1981 but was reverted to the status of a School in October 1998.
