WAEC subject combination (requirements) for International Relations and Strategic Studies

You’re expected to have at least 5 credits on the required WAEC subject combination needed to study International Relations and Strategic Studies in Nigeria universities.

The required subject combination must include:

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Government
  4. Plus and any other two relevant subjects.
  5. A trade subject

The above WAEC subject combination is also applicable to other O’level examinations such as NECO and GCE. So now that you know the compulsory O level requirement to study International Relations and Strategic Studies, let also look at UTME and Direct requirements and course descriptions.

 

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for International Relations and Strategic Studies

Prepare yourself well so you can score above 200 in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of this score may deny you Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic

Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. If you’re having troubles JAMB UTME maybe it’s time you pass through IJBM, JUBEB, ND or Predegree.

  2. Any two of the following: Economics, History, Government, Geography, Literature in English and French

 

Direct Entry requirement (required A-level result) to study International Relations and Strategic Studies

Two ‘A’ level passes in any of the following subjects: Government, Economics, History and French

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration to study International Relations and Strategic Studies
(I) Wellspring University, Evbuobanosa – Edo State accepts two A’ level passes (including NABTEB).

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration to study International Relations and Strategic Studies
(i) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires five ‘O’ Level credits which must include English Language,Mathematics, Government plus any two other subjects from History, Geography and Yoruba.

(ii) Wellspring University, Evbuobanosa – Edo State accepts a pass in Mathematics provided the candidate has a total of five credits including English language, Government/History, and Economics

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration to study International Relations and Strategic Studies
(i) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires English Language, Mathematics, Government and any other Social Science subject.
