The subjects needed to study Sports Science in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Sports Science must include
- English Language
- Any two of Biology, Economics, Geography, Government and Mathematics
- A Trade Subject
Sports science is the study of how the healthy human body works during exercise, and how sport and physical activity promote health, physically, mentally and socially. The study of sports science incorporates many other academic studies and areas, like physiology, psychology, anatomy, engineering and chemistry.

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Sports Science
Knowing JAMB subjects for Sports Science is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. (iii) Advanced Diploma Coaching and Officiating Sports Management of NIS
