WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Industrial Technical Education

The subjects needed to study Industrial Technical Education in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The O level requirement, that is, the required WAEC subject combination for Industrial Technical Education must include

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Industrial Technical Education 

Knowing JAMB subjects for Industrial Technical Education is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. If you’re having troubles JAMB UTME maybe it’s time you pass through IJBM, JUBEB, ND or Predegree.

Direct Entry requirement (required A-level result) to study Industrial Technical Education
(i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
(ii) ND with at least lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Elect. Engineering.
(iii) Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate.
(iv) NCE in Tech. Education plus credit in Physics or Mathematics

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Industrial Technical Education
(i) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) accepts Candidates with Diploma in any of Creative Arts and Crafts,Instructional Radio and Television Production, andPhotography of University of Ilorin can be admitted through Direct Entry (200 Level). Gives special consideration to candidates with Fine Arts background and NCE (Technical) or Fine Arts plus at least credit in two other subjects at ‘O’ level.

(ii) YABATECH accepts ND in Civil, Mechanical, Production, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NCE (Technical) with minimum of pass. City and Guilds (final) or Engineering Technicians Part II Certificate.

(iii) KADPOLY requires NCE (Tech) in relevant fields at merit pass level or a minimum of C grade in all major subjects and accepts into 2 year programme candidates from institution affiliated to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

(iv) KADPOLY and Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki accept ND in relevant fields at lower credit level.

(v) KADPOLY accepts Full Technological Certificate in related technical subjects and Technical Teachers Certificate (TTC).

(vi) Federal University of Technology, Minna accepts: C & G (Final) with Tech. Cert. (T.T.C), Advanced National Tech. Cert. and ND in relevant fields in addition to O/L certificate.

(vii) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) accepts Technical Drawing and ND/ NCE (Merit) in specialized areas.

(viii) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accepts: a. Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics in addition to departmental UTME requirement. (b) ND with, at least, lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Elect. Engineering, Drafting Technology. (c) Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate. d. NCE with, at least merit pass in Technical Education e. Engineering Technicians Part II Certificate.

(ix) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) – Same as Vocational and Technical Education.

(x) Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike accepts two A’ level passes in relevant subject, NCE, ND, or NBC/NDC.

(xi) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires at least two A’ level passes/HSC, NCE (merit) in relevant teaching subjects or ND/HND (Upper credit).

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Industrial Technical Education
(i) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) requires Fine Arts, Tech. Drawing, Mathematics, or Physics or any other related subject.

(ii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.

(iii) KADPOLY requires O/L credit in Mathematics and other relevant subject passes in English Language, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, TC II and Pre-NCE (T).

(iv) KADPOLY accepts WAEC and Federal Craft Certificate, National Technical Certificate (NTC) with Mathematics and other relevant subject.

(v) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires five ‘O’ level credits to include Physics or Mathematics at GCE/SSCE, NTC, City and Guilds intermediate in addition to UTME entry requirement.

(vi) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) requires credit in English Language.

(vii) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) accepts NTC/NBC pass in English but requires a credit in Physics.

(viii)YABATECH – No UTME admission.

(ix) Federal University of Technology, Minna requires five credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two science subjects.

(x) EDOMOK requires five O’ level credit to include Mathematics and Physics.

(xi) Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike requires five credit to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

(xii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires five O’ level credit at one sittings or six O’ level credit at two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration to study Industrial Technical Education
(i) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) requires Economics.

(ii) Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike and Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) require Chemistry as the 3rd subject.

(iii) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts any three relevant subjects.

(iv) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires subject of specialization and one each from Arts and Social Science or Sciences.
