WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Project Management Technology

The subjects needed to study Project Management Technology in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Project Management Technology must include

  3. Physics
  4. Plus a pass in Chemistry and either Economics or Biology.

Knowing JAMB subjects for Project Management Technology is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics/Mathematics/ Economics/Geography .

Project Management Technology is how many years course and under which faculty?

Depending on your mode of entry, Project Management Technology is a three to four years course in Nigeria. According to JAMB, Project Management Technology is under Faculty of Agriculture but may be under a different faculty in some universities.

Can a commercial or art student study Project Management Technology?

No! Project Management Technology is a pure science course and not suitable for commercial or art students. But if you have required subject combination in your O level result, you can go for it if that is the course you desire to study. If you’re still in secondary school, you may find it difficult to change subjects during WAEC registration because your schools may go against it. The alternative way to write the required subjects combination for Project Management Technology is through GCE.

What is Direct Entry special consideration (waiver) for Project Management Technology
(i)   Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) requires two ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C from Mathematics, Physics and Economics.  It also accepts ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Project Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Engineering Management and Construction Management. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.  It does not accept First Degree or NCE.
(ii) Federal University of Technology, Akure accepts: (a) ND in relevant areas of Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering and Management Sciences with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized Institution; or (b) GCE (A/L) or equivalent in at least two subjects selected from the Following:  Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Economics.
(iii) Bells University of Technology, Otta accepts ND/Two A’ level passes in Physics/ Mathematics, Geography/ Chemistry/Economics.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE special consideration (waiver) for Project Management Technology
(i)  Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) requires credit in Chemistry.(ii) Federal University of Technology, Akure  requires five SSCE credit in English  Language, Mathematics, Economics, Physics plus at least a pass in Chemistry or Biology/Agricultural Science at NOT more than two sittings
(iii) Bells University of Technology, Otta require five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two from Economics, Geography,  Chemistry, Biology, Accounting and Further Mathematics.
(iv) Federal University of Technology, Minna requires credit in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics and Economics.
What is JAMB UTME special consideration (waiver) for Project Management Technology
(i) Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
(ii) Federal University of Technology, Akure requires English Language, Mathematics, and any two of   Physics, Chemistry and Economics.
(iii) Federal University of Technology, Minna requires Mathematics, Geography and Physics/Economics.
