WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Management Technology

The subjects needed to study Management Technology in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Management Technology must include

  1. English Language,
  2. Mathematics
  3. Economics
  4. Any other two science subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Health Science, Metal Works, Wood Work, Agric Science, Technical Drawing, Nutrition and Food Science.
  5. A trade subject

 

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Management Technology 

Knowing JAMB subjects for Management Technology is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. If you’re having troubles JAMB UTME maybe it’s time you pass through IJBM, JUBEB, ND, HND or Predegree!..

Direct Entry requirement (required A-level result) to study Management Technology
Two A’ Level passes in Management Technology, Accountancy, Management Technology, Government and Geography. Candidate must have a Science background at ‘O’ Level.

Management Technology is how many years course and under which faculty?

Depending on your mode of entry, Management Technology is a three to four years course in Nigeria. According to JAMB, this course is under the Faculty of Agriculture but may be under a different faculty in some universities.

What is Direct Entry special consideration (waiver) for Management Technology
(i) Bauchi State University, Gadau accepts (a) Two ‘A’ level passes in any of Math, Economics, Commerce, Physics, Chemistry, Bio/Agric. (b) ND/HND at lower credit and above.
(ii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) accepts (a) National Diploma with Lower Credit in any of the following: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Admin./Management, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Business Education (NCE), Purchasing, Store Management, Auditing, Office Technology Management, Information Mgt. Tech. (IMT), Public Administration. (b) IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ level (with at least 8 points) Economics with 1 or 2 of the following: Accounting/Book Keeping, Commerce, Geography, IMT, Government, Business Admin./Management, Statistics, Mathematics
(iii) Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) requires at least two ‘A-Level passes not below Grade C from Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, and Business Management. It also accepts ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Financial Management Technology, Management and Engineering. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.  It does not accept First Degree or NCE.
(v) Federal University of Technology, Akure for Entrepreneurship accepts ND with a minimum of upper credit in relevant fields of Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Social and Management Sciences from recognized institutions.
(vi) Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) accepts i) Two  ‘A-Level passes in Economics, Accountancy, Business Management, Government and Geography or  ND with Upper Credit/HND  in a relevant. discipline may be considered for admission into 200 level.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE special consideration (waiver) for Management Technology
(i) Bauchi State University, Gadau requires five ‘O’ level credit passes to include  English Language,  Mathematics, one Science subject and two  Commercial subjects.
(ii) the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) requires at least five ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one of Biology and Economics in not more than two sittings.
(iii)  Federal University of Technology, Minna requires five O’ level credit to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography, Government and Commerce.
(v) Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) requires any two Science  Subjects from Physics, Chemistry Biology and Agric Science.
(vi) Federal University of Technology, Akure for Entrepreneurship requires the two science subjects from Agricultural Science/Biology, Physics/Chemistry or Geography/Government.
(vii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) requires credit in Economics and two (2) from Principles of Accounting/ Book-Keeping, Further Mathematics, Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Agricultural Science, Geography, Government, Civic Education, Store Management, Office Practice, Insurance, Commerce, Marketing, Entrepreneurship.
What is JAMB UTME special consideration (waiver) for Management Technology
(i) Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) accepts Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) Federal University of Technology, Akure for Entrepreneurship accepts one of Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography or Chemistry.
(iii) Federal University of Technology, Minna requires Entrepreneurship and Business Studies Mathematics, Economics and any one of Science or Social Science subject.
(iv) Economics and any two of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Government, Geography and Mathematics
(v) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) requires Economics and any two of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Government, Geography and Mathematics
