Admission requirements to study Forensic Science in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of at least C (Plain) with C+ (plus) in Biology and Chemistry and C (plain) in Mathematics or Physics or KCE Division III with a credit in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics or have served in the disciplined forces for a minimum of two years with experience in any Forensic Science discipline OR
  • Applicants must have a certificate in Forensic Science with a minimum KCSE mean grade C- (minus) or equivalent will also be considered for admission.

 

DEGREE PROGRAMMES:

Admission requirements to study Science in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in any three subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics/Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology/Biological Science and Geography with at least grade C (Plain) in Mathematics OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE with a Diploma of at least a credit pass in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution OR
  • KACE with two (2) Principals and one (1) Subsidiary in relevant subjects OR
  • Mean grade of Cat KCSE and progressed from Certificate to Diploma in a relevant programme at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions

 
 
Admission requirements to study Telecommunication & Information Technology in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in Mathematics and Physics OR
  • Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in either Electronics or Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications with a credit pass from a recognized institution. In addition, applicants must have obtained at least Grade C (Plain) or equivalent in Mathematics and Physics. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Mathematics and Computer Science in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least B (plain) or equivalent in Mathematics, C+ (Plus) in English and C (Plain) in Physics. OR
  • KACE with two (2) principals, one of which must be mathematics and a subsidiary pass in general paper OR
  • Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent and a Diploma with credit pass in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant Diploma form a recognized institution. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

Admission requirements

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in Chemistry and Mathematics and either Physics/Physical Science, Biology/Biological Sciences OR
  • Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma of at least credit pass in the relevant field of study from a recognized institution. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

Admission requirements

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least B (plain) or equivalent in Mathematics, C+ (Plus) in English and C (Plain) in Physics. OR
  • KACE with two (2) principals, one of which must be mathematics and a subsidiary pass in general paper OR
  • Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent and a Diploma with credit pass in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant Diploma form a recognized institution. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Microbiology in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent in Biology/Biological Sciences and any other two (2) of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geography, Agriculture, and Physical Science/Physics. In addition, applicants must have obtained grade C (Plain) in Mathematics at KCSE or equivalent OR
  • Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE with a Diploma of at least Credit pass in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution OR
  • KACE with two (2) principals and one (1) subsidiary with a principal pass in Biology. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from Certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions

 
 
Admission requirements to study Biology in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least B- (Minus) or equivalent in Biology/Biological Sciences and must have passed any two subjects from the following: Alternative A: Chemistry C+, Physics C+, Mathematics C+, Geography B+ and English B Alternative B: Physical Sciences B-, Mathematics C+, Geography B+ and English B OR
  • at least two (2) Principal passes, one of which must be in Biology at KACE OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE and a Diploma in Forestry, Education (Biology, Agriculture), Applied Biology, Wild life or Wetlands with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the University Senate. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Conservation Biology in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent in Biology/Biological Sciences and C+ in any two (2) of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geography, Agriculture, Physical Science/Physics OR
  • at least two (2) Principals one of which must be Biology and one (1) Subsidiary in KACE or equivalent OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or Div III at KCE/EACE or equivalent with at least Credit Pass at a Diploma in any of the following areas: Forestry, Education (Biology and Agriculture), Wildlife/Wetlands with at least a Credit Pass from a recognized institution. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from Certificate to Diploma in a relevant programme at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Statistics and Programming in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least B (Plain) or equivalent in Mathematics and C+ (Plus) in English OR at least two (2) Principals one of which must be Mathematics and one (1) subsidiary at KACE or equivalent OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in statistics with at least a credit pass from a recognized institution. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Actuarial Science in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least B (Plain) or equivalent in Mathematics and B-(Minus) in English OR at least two (2) Principals one of which must be Mathematics and one (1) Subsidiary pass in General paper at KACE or equivalent OR
  • Mean grade C (Plain) at KCSE with a Diploma of at least credit pass in Actuarial Science from a recognized institution and grade C+ (Plus) in Mathematics at KCSE. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
Admission requirements to study Forensic Science in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent and must have passed in the following subjects and obtained the grades shown: Alternative A : Biology B-, Chemistry B-, Physics C+ and Mathematics C+ Alternative B: Biological Sciences B, Physical Sciences B and Mathematics C+ OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution and C+ (plus) in each of the mandatory subjects with at least two years relevant working experience. OR
  • KACE (A Levels) with two (2) principals in Biology and Chemistry and 1 (one) subsidiary in either Physics or Mathematics. OR
  • Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

 
 
Admission requirements to study Molecular and Cellular Biology in Kenyatta University

  • Applicants must have a mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent and must have passed in the following subjects and obtained the grades shown: Alternative A :Biology B-, Chemistry B- and Physics or Mathematics C+ Alternative B: Biological Sciences B, Physical Sciences B and Mathematics C+ OR
  • Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma of at least credit pass in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution and C (plain) in each of the mandatory subjects. OR
