What is Hotspot
The hotspot feature on a device or a mobile phone allows you to use your phone’s mobile data to connect another phone, tablet, TV, or computer to the internet. Anyone with a WIFI can connect to your Hotspot enabled device if you give them access. An Unpassworded hotspot can be connected without asking for your permission.
Hotspot not working Android Solution:
Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Hotspot 
. If after tapping and hotspot is not enabled, don’t worry. The most known culprit to hotspots not working on android is Data Saver. Newer Andriod phones would always suggest Data Saver when your battery is low.
Data Saver is a feature built into Android phones that limits how much data your apps can use in the background. While Data Saver is on, if an app is running in the background, it won’t be able to connect to the internet. This means that your hotspot won’t work. You won’t receive your regular push alerts, receive updates, and won’t take any of your data. Data saver is most useful if you’re low on battery.
Now that you know why your hotspot is not turning on. Let me show you how to turn off Data Saver mode. I will show you 3 ways to turn off Data Saver which will in turn enable your hotspot to work again. There are so many android phones with different versions. You may not easily find where your data saver menu. Using one of these options may help you.
- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Tap Network and Internet.
- Locate and Date Saver (if on, tap it to switch it off)

- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Locate and Tap Data usage
- Locate and Date Saver (if on, tap it to switch it off)
Third option:
If you cannot find Data Saver via the options above,
- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Locate search settings as seen in the image below.
- Type Data Saver and hit enter
