  • INCOMPATIBLE OR DAMAGED CHARGER: These days, there are so many chargers manufactured by external companies. It is important to know which charger is compatible with your phone for it to charge. Maybe the reason why your phone is not charging is that the charger is damaged or the charger you got from a third-party company is incompatible with your phone. To solve this, all you need to do is make sure you get a charger that is compatible with your phone. Make sure to check the voltage of the charger if it matches the requirement of your phone and you are good to go.

 

  • LOOSE CHARGING PORT: The constant plugging and unplugging of your phone will make your charging port lose over time. The charging port will lose its firmness, causing your phone not to charge effectively. In some cases, it will not charge at all. To rectify this issue, it is advisable to give this to a mobile phone repairer. The port will be changed and you are good to go.

 

  • DIRTY CHARGING PORT: Accumulated dirt and dust in your charging port, can cause your phone not to charge. It is a normal occurrence and it happens often and so should not make you freak out. All you need to do is clean the charging port carefully with a toothpick, or with a blast of air. That way, you will clear the port so the charging cable can connect properly with the charging

 

  • DAMAGED CHARGING CABLE: If your phone is not charging, one of the reasons is that the charging cable is bad. This occurs if the cable has bent over time. The charging port can also be damaged if stepped on, slept on, or sat on. The only solution to this is to change the cable. You should also make sure that the cable type you get, is the same match as the charging port.

 

  • WATER DAMAGE: Mobile phone is a handy device, and so it is always carried around. The mobility and easy carriage of the phone makes it vulnerable to some damage. It can fall or it can get wet. In some cases your phone may not be charging because water has gotten into the charging port, causing it to be damaged.
