Yes, Ecology is a good major for those who enjoy nature, and who have an intense interest in what makes the living world work. Having a powerful curiosity about particular plants and animals is often what keeps an ecologist interested in exploring the mysteries of nature. Ecology major focuses on the scientific study of the relationships and interactions of small-scale biological systems, such as organisms, to each other, complex and whole systems, and to the physical and other non-biological aspects of their environments.

No. Ecology is not a hard major ecology but rather painful if you do not like learning/memorizing things. You will memorize all sorts of weird stuff about jellyfish and algae and things. It wasn’t hard, just time-consuming. The course required a good amount of knowledge about chemistry.
