Even now that smartphone technology seems to be near the climax, it is not still perfect and as such, one is expected to experience different problems like poor battery life, low storage space, phone acting weird, phone acting up on its own and etc. But thank goodness, you can fix common mobile phone problems in minutes.
In this guide, I will focus on why is my phone acting up today. When a smartphone has begun to act up for no reason, responding strangely, flickering, or failing to use your favourite features, there are one of two things wrong. There is liquid on the phone, the settings have been messed with or your phone needs repairs. You can fix the first kind of problem at home and if that doesn’t work, call a professional.
Your phone is acting on its own if:
- Phone increasing and decreasing volume
- The camera turns on itself
- The phone is trying to reboot itself
- Screen flickering
- The battery shows charging but not actually up charging.
- No battery charging signal but battery charging up.
- Screen light on coming up
- The button does not respond
- Google play store crashes
- Phone freezes
- Apps crashes
- Apps not downloading
- Phone is slow
- Constant popup
- Ghost touch
- Apps take longer to load.
- The battery drains faster than expected.
- Phone acting up after an update
If you experience the following acting up on your Android phone
- Apps crashes
- Apps not downloading
- Phone is slow
- Phone freezes
- Apps take longer to load.
- Google play store crashes
- Constant popup
- The phone is trying to reboot itself
…there are different reasons for this problem which I am not going to list out, but the universal solution is to format (hard reset) the phone. When your phone is acting up, a Hard Reset will revert a phone to its original settings and a clean OS (Operating System) removing all data and information added to the cell phone by the mobile phone user.
How do you perform a hard reset?
- Switch off the device.…
- Now, press and hold the Power+Home+Volume Up buttons…
Keep holding until the device logo shows up and the phone restarts again, you should enter recovery mode. - Once the recovery menu has launched on your device, use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to select “Delete all user data” or “Wipe data/factory reset”, then press the Power button to select.
- Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to confirm your selection.
If you experience the following on your Android or iPhone
- Screen flickering
- Ghost touch
You may experience Ghost touch or screen flickering issues when you touch your phone’s screen with dirty hands or if your phone’s screen becomes dirty or has liquid. It has also been confirmed that a bad charger can cause a ghost touch. To check if a charger is really the cause, try charging the phone using a different charger/cable combo and check if the issue persists.
I personally experience ghost touch whenever I mistakenly take my phone to the bathroom. Once liquid finds its way into the USB port or screen and stays there for a while, it can cause Ghost touch and the best way is to get water out of the phone.
Where other issue mentioned on this page will required the work of a phone reparier.
i was crying bc later today in the after noon i was on tik tok and i had word in my mouth and i spit it on my phone it was working fine but then i got my phone tooken for a sec then next time i got it i put it on the charger then i noticed that it was doing weird things like dying on its on when it was at 32 percent and turning off and on then i searched up why it was doing that so i came up here and i think it was only the charger so thank you so much. i was like crying water falls.
