Cosmetology is a vocational course in Nigeria and it is the study and application of beauty treatments specialising in cosmetic care of skin, body, hair and nail. Currently, there are no bachelor’s degree programs in cosmetology in Nigeria.
Cosmetology is the practice of applying expert beauty treatment, whether it’s hair care, nail treatment or skincare. While the term “cosmetics” is now used broadly to refer to makeup, it is actually anything that beautifies and improves a person’s physical characteristics and features. As such, the cosmetology profession includes not only makeup but beautifying the hair, skin and even nails.
