Requirement to gain admission into Confucius Institute in UNIZIK

Confucius Institute in UNIZIK which was inaugurated in 2009 was established as a result of a memorandum of understanding between the Chinese Language Council International (HANBAN), Xiamen University and Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

In 2013, the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved the establishment of the fulltime Bachelor of Art (B.A) programme

To meet the increasing demand of the institute’s services from the public, Confucius institute in UNIZIK has so far established three (3) Confucius classrooms:

  • Federal Polytechnic Oko with twelve (12) teaching classes and three hundred and fifty (350) registered students
  • Unizik High School with eleven (11) teaching classes and one hundred and thirty (130) registered students
  • Enugu State College of Education Technical.

 

The Confucius Institute also offers training at three additional levels:

  • Diploma
  • Proficiency Written and Proficiency Oral
  • Executive class

 

To study Chinese Confucius Institute UNIZIK, in you’re expected to have at least 5 credits on your WAEC subject combination. These subjects’ combination are also applicable to other O’level exams such as NECO AND GCE. The O level requirement to study Chinese in Confucius Institute must include:

  • English Language
  • Government
  • Literature in English Language
  • Any other art or social science subject

For JAMB, you need English Language and two other subjects

  2. Hello am currently a 300level biochemistry student in UNN… I want to study Chinese immediately after my graduation please what are my possible requirements…. Do I still need to take art subjects in waec and jamb before I can get admitted?
