WAEC subject combination (requirement) for Applied Microbiology and Brewing
You’re expected to have at least 5 credits on the required WAEC subject combination needed to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing in Nigeria universities.

This combination of subjects must include;

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Chemistry
  4. Physics
  5. Biology or Health Science.
  6. A trade subject

Direct Entry requirement (required A-level result) to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing
(i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and Chemistry.
(ii) NCE passes at merit level in Biology and Chemistry.
(iii) ND/HND in Biology or Food Technology

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing
(i) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) requires 3 A/L passes in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

(ii) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields

What is WAEC, NECO or GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing
(i) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki does not accept Health Science.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing
(i) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki requires Physics instead of Mathematics.

(ii) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) accepts Physics in lieu of Mathematics.
