There is only one (1) Law school in Nigeria with 6 campuses across the Nation. Though Law School Lagos Campus is one of the prestigious Law Schools in Nigeria today, the curriculum and the examinations taken are the same with a single academic calendar running throughout all six campuses. Upon graduation, a ceremony is conducted by the Body of Benchers called the Call to Bar.

Anyone who has obtained a University degree in law and wants to practice as lawyers in Nigeria must attend the Nigerian Law School. The Council of Legal Education gives certificates to students who pass the Bar Part II examinations, and these students are then called to the Bar

Nigerian Law school Basic Admission Requirements:

  • Law Degree Certificate: A photocopy of Qualifying Degree Certificate and where the Degree is obtained from a University in the United States of America, the Law School must be accredited to the Association of American Law Schools or the American Bar Association.
  • Academic transcript:: The Registrar/ Academic Dean of your University should be asked by you to forward direct to the School, the transcript of your Qualifying Degree showing the subjects taken and the grade obtained in each subject. The transcript should be signed by the Registrar.
