The subjects needed to study Fine Art in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The O level requirement that is the compulsory WAEC subject combination for Fine Art must include is same as Industrial Design
JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Fine Art
You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just an advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Fine Art
(i) Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU) requires (a) Candidates to submit portfolio of their work to H. O. D. Fine Arts. (b) accepts HND (upper credit) to the higher levels of the course. (c) Two ‘A’ level passes in Fine Arts and one other subject. Other subject must be History, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Music, and Literature-in- English or French.
(ii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts (a) A/L/IJMB passes in Fine Arts as one other subjects (b) NCE with a minimum of Merit in Fine Arts. iv) HND in Fine Arts or related field with a minimum of Lower Credit passes.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Fine Art
(i) Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU) ‘O’ level courses should include English Language, Fine Art and any three of History, Religious Knowledge Igbo, Yoruba, Literature-in-English, Music, French and Economics.
(ii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria requires five ‘O’ level passes two of which must include English Language and Fine Arts.
What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Fine Art
(i) Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU) requires Fine Arts and two other subjects. The two subjects to be chosen from options in UTME requirements.
(ii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria requires Using of English, Fine Arts and any two other subjects.
