O Level/WAEC subject combinations for Mechatronics Engineering Technology in Polytechnic must include

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two subjects from: Biology/Agricultural Science Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics English Language, Geography, Economics/Commerce. At least a credit pass in English Language is required.

Polytechnic Special Consideration/waiver for Mechatronics Engineering Technology

(a)Basic Apprenticeship Training Qualification (BATC in any Mechanical Engineering craft) or

b) Lower credit in Elementary Certificate in any Mechanical Engineering craft practice, Auto Mechanic Tools, Plants etc) or

c) Any Technical SSCE/NABTEB with 2 years working experience in the Mechanical Engineering outfit or

e) Any other qualification acceptable to the Polytechnic

f) Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin-Ladi requires four O/ credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one from Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Sci, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work etc

g) Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, basic Electronics, basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, metal Work etc.

h) The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State (The Polytechnic, Ibadan) requires candidates to have attempted Further Mathematics as part of course requirement.
