WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Education and Science
The subjects needed to study Education and Science in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Education and Science must include

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Education and Science
Knowing JAMB subjects for Education and Science is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. Depending on your mode of entry, Education and Science is a three to four years course in Nigeria. According to JAMB, this course is under Faculty of Education but may be under a different faculty in some universities.

The SSCE O level and A-level subject needed to study Education and Science have been listed above but, some Universities may accept D7 or E8 in some a compulsory subject instead of Credit. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration to study Education and Science
(i) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires Chemistry and Biology or Zoology.
(ii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) accepts NCE and ND/HND (Science/Mathematics) into year II.
(iv) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – Same as Computer Education
(v) Bowen University, Iwo accepts ND in relevant fields.
(vi) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) accepts NCE (Merit) in four subjects into 300 levels.
(vii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) accepts NCE with at least a merit pass and ND/HND with at least lower credit.
(viii) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accepts Candidates with ND in other areas at distinction, credit, or merit level who possess the University minimum entry requirement plus credit in the teaching subject may be considered for Direct Entry admission but will run the 4 year programme
(ix) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) – Same as Vocational and Technical Education
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration to study Education and Science
(i) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) and Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki accept TC II with credit/merit passes in relevant subjects.
(ii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) accepts a pass in English Language and Mathematics in exceptional cases.
(iii) University of Ibadan (UI) does not accept TC II.
(iv) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires credits in Biology and Chemistry.
(v) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki accept a pass in English Language.
(vi) Bowen University, Iwo does not require Mathematics for Education / Nursery and Primary Education.
(vii) Federal University of Technology, Minna requires any three other science subject.
(viii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) accepts (a) for Chemistry option, Biology in lieu of Mathematics. (b) For Biology, Mathematics/Statistics and Computer Science options, Chemistry or Physics is accepted in lieu of Mathematics.
(ix) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires Five SSCE credit including English Language, Mathematics and two other Science subjects. one subject must be the proposed teaching subject. For Int. Science Five credit which includes a credit in at least one Science subject and pass in two other Science subjects.
(x) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – Same as Computer Education.
(xi) University of Ibadan (UI) accepts only N.C.E. in relevant courses and does not accept TCIII.
(xii) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) requires five O’ level credit in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects, two of which must be science subjects in not more than two sittings.
What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration to study Education and Science
(i) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires English Language and any three (3) Science subjects – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Health Science, Agric Science.
(ii) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) requires subject of study and any two science subjects.
(iii) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – Same as Computer Education.
