You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just an advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Kanuri?
(i) University of Jos (UNIJOS) accepts NCE (merit level for Calabar).

(ii) Benue State University, Makurdi requires French plus any other Arts subject

(iii) University of Ibadan (UI) requires two ‘A’ level passes including Yoruba and Lit in English

(iv) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts two merit or credit in NCE, one of which must be French. Also accepts University of Calabar (UNICAL) Diploma in French, Linguistics or Communication, also three ‘A’ level passes in three subjects, one of which must be French

(v) University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) accepts: (a) Certificate in Kanuri. (b) NCE with Kanuri major.

(vi) Benue State University, Makurdi requires credit to include Literature in English.

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE, Special Consideration (waiver) to study Kanuri?
(i) University of Ibadan (UI) requires Five SSCE credit to include Yoruba.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Kanuri?
(i) University of Ibadan (UI) requires Yoruba and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.
