WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Educational Foundations

The subjects needed to study Educational Foundations in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Educational Foundations must include

  3. Three relevant subjects.

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Educational Foundations 

Knowing JAMB subjects for Educational Foundations is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. Educational Foundations is how many years course and under which faculty?

Depending on your mode of entry, Educational Foundations is a three to four years course in Nigeria. According to JAMB, this course is under Faculty of Education but may be under a different faculty in some universities.

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration to study Educational Foundations
(i) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) – No Direct Entry.
(ii) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) accepts OND/NCE for 3 year programme. Candidates with merit in all subject areas at NCE will register for 2 year programme. Candidates admitted into the department will be required to take one teaching subject.
(iii) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts NCE merit/credit in relevant subject.
(iv) Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma accepts a pass in General English at NCE/ Diploma levels as an equivalent of credit in O/L English Language.

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration to study Educational Foundations
(i) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) requires Biology for Guidance & Counseling and Mathematics and Economics for Educational Administration option.
(ii) Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) and Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki require SSCE five credit in English Language, Mathematics and any other three Arts subjects.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration to study Educational Foundations
(i) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) requires Biology for Guidance and Counseling.
(ii) Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma: For B.A. (Ed.) options, requires an ass in Mathematics is acceptable. English Education require credit in English Literature; French Education requires credit in
