What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Integrated Science
(i) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni requires two A’ level passes in relevant teaching subjects in subject of specialization. Accepts NCE with credit or merit passes in two relevant subjects..
(ii) EDALV and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) – As for Education/Chemistry and a pass in Mathematics.
(iii) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accepts own Diploma (Lower credit) in Integrated Science.
(iv) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) – As in Education Chemistry. (v) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki requires NCE in Integrated Science not below merit pass.
(vi) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires A/L passes in at least two Science subjects plus three other O/level credit including English Language and Mathematics or NCE in Mathematics/Integrated Science plus three other subjects including mathematics and English Language at credit/merit level in TC II or a pass at credit/merit level in Associate ship Certificate in Education of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) or its equivalent plus three ‘O’ level credit.
(vii) Benue State University, Makurdi accepts NCE at merit level and ‘O’ level Mathematics.
(viii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts: (a) University of Lagos (UNILAG) foundation Diploma plus UTME requirements (b) Two ‘A’ Level passes in two science subjects (c) NCE with credit/merit in Integrated Science or Science Education and Catering and Hotel Management; Textile Management and relevant subjects.
(ix) Ekiti State University accepts a pass at NCE General English in lieu of SSCE/TC II credit in English Language.
(x) University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts merit pass in own Diploma/other recognised University Diploma (Credit/Upper Credit) in Applied Microbiology, Food and Brewing Science, Analytical Chemistry plus 3 ‘O’ level credit including English Language at one sittings.
(xi) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires 2/3 NCE (merit passes) including Integrated Science plus 3/2 O/L credit including English Language at one sittings.
(xii) Bauchi State University, Gadau accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience)
(xiii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts. NCE (Merit) in Integrated Science NCE (Science Education) at least Merit pass. or Two ‘A’ level passes in two Science subjects
(xiv) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts: (a) NCE (Integrated Science) with a minimum of C grade in Integrated Science and Education (b) IJMB/A-level pass with a minimum o C grade in Physics. (c) Its own Diploma in Integrated Science or Physics Education with a minimum of Merit Pass.
(xv) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) accepts ‘A’ Level passes in at least two science subjects plus three other ‘0’ Level credits including English and Mathematics or NCE in Mathematics/Integrated Science plus three other subjects including Mathematics and English Language passed at credit or credit/merit levels in the TC II or a pass at credit/merit level in Mathematics/Integrated Science in the Associationship Certificate in Education of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) or its equivalent plus three credit in other O/Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
(xvi) University of Agriculture, Makurdi accepts ND (Upper Credit) in Relevant fields in addition to UTME requirement.
(xvi) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba requires THREE MERIT passes at NCE in Education and two relevant teaching (science) subjects.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waivers) to study Education and Integrated Science
(i) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, YABATECH and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) require in addition to Chemistry, Physics and any two from Agric, Biology, Health Science and a pass in Mathematics.
(ii) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni accepts credit in English Language, relevant subject of specialization and three other Arts subjects.
(iii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) – As in Education and Chemistry.
(iv) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires Physics and any of Agricultural Science and Geography/Physics/Mathematics.
(v) University of Uyo does not require credit in Physics.
(vi) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sittings or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics
(v) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires five ‘0’ level credits or five merit/credit at TC II. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics and two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science and Agric Science
(vi) University of Agriculture, Makurdi requires credit in Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing or Physics.
(vii) Lagos accepts Physics and Agric Science.
Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba requires five SSCE credit which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one other subject.
