The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is a body responsible for your admission into the University or other institutions. (ii) University of Uyo requires HND/OND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements
(vii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) – No direct entry
(iv) University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts merit in own Diploma (Credit) /other recognised University Diploma (Upper credit) in Public Administration, Social Work, Local Government, International Studies and Diplomacy, Health Administration and Management, Nursing Administration and Management or Law; ND (Upper Credit)/HND (Lower Credit) in Public Administration or Mass Communication; ND/NCE (overall merit) with Credit pass in Government/History and any other Social Science subject. Direct Entry candidates must satisfy UTME requirements.
(v) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) in addition to UTME requirement accepts second ‘A’ level pass in History, English Language, Literature in English and Mathematics. Or acceptable pass in Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) Foundation Programme.
(vi) Crawford University Igbesa accepts (a) two ‘A’ level passes in Government and any other Social Science subjects (b) NCE – With at least Merit level. (c) OND/HND Diploma in relevant subjects not lower than Lower Credit. (d) Foundation Programme of Crawford University and other Universities recognised by Senate.
(viii) Western Delta University, Oghara Delta State accepts a) Diploma in Public/Local Government Administration, Social Work, Community Development, Industrial and Labour Relations. b) At least two ‘A’ level passes in any one of the following subjects. Government, History, Economics or Geography.
(v) Rhema University, Obeama-Asa – Rivers State accepts Diploma or NCE in Public Administration, Social Studies, Local Government/International Studies, Government or History plus UTME requirements.
(viii) Taraba State University, Jalingo (TSUJ) in addition to O’ level requirement accepts: (a) IJMB (Arts and Social Sciences) (b) Diploma in Law (c) Diploma in Public Administration (lower credit to be placed in 100 level while upper credit in 200 level).

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE, Special consideration (waiver) for Political and Administrative Studies
(i) University of Uyo requires at least P.7 in Mathematics
(ii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) requires Economics, Government/History and any other Social Science or Arts subject.
(iii) BAUAD and University of Benin (UNIBEN) require credit in English Language, History/Government and Mathematics
(iv) Godfrey Okoye University, Ugwuomu-Nike – Enugu State requires five SSCE credits passes in not more than two sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and Government.
(v) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) requires five ‘O’ level credit obtained at not more than one sittings in relevant subjects including English Language, Government and Mathematics and any other two subjects.
(vi) Crawford University Igbesa Five ‘O’ level credit to include English, Government and 3 other subjects with at least pass in Mathematics
(ix) Western Delta University, Oghara Delta State requires five SSCE credit including English Language, Mathematics, Government and one other Social Science subject plus and other subject of Choice
(x) Taraba State University, Jalingo (TSUJ) requires credit in English Language, History/Government and Mathematics (at least a pass and any two or three if Mathematics is not passed at credit level, Economics, Geography, CRS/IRS, Commerce, Literature in English.
(xi) Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna (NDA) requires credit in English Language, Mathematics, Government and two other subjects from Economics, Commerce, Geography, History, French, and Accounts

What is JAMB UTME Special consideration (waiver) for Political and Administrative Studies
(i) University of Benin (UNIBEN) and Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki accept Government or History, one other Social Science subject and any other subject
(ii) University of Uyo – Government or Economics plus any 2 Arts or Social Science subjects
(iii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) requires Economics, Government/History and any other Social Science and Arts subject.
(iv) Crawford University Igbesa requires English, Mathematics, Government and any Social Science subject or History
(xii) Taraba State University, Jalingo (TSUJ) and Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti – Ekiti State require History or Government and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.
