The subjects needed to study Education and Yoruba in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The O level requirement, that is, the required WAEC subject combination for Education and Yoruba must include

Knowing JAMB subjects for Education and Yoruba is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Yoruba
(i) OSSCE accept two ‘A’ level passes or NCE/Diploma in Yoruba and any other Arts subject.

(ii)  Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires NCE (credit).

(iii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts NCE or Two ‘A’ Level passes in Yoruba, and any of English, CRS, IRS, Igbo, French, History, Geography, Arabic. Also accepts University of Lagos (UNILAG) Foundation Diploma plus UTME requirements.

(v) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) accepts A’ level pass in English Language, Arabic, Geography, Physics or History/ Government. Also accepts its own Foundation Programme.

(vi) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts at least two ‘A’ level passes or NCE Merit to include Yoruba and another Arts or Social Science subject.

(vii) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba accepts NCE Merit to include Yoruba and another Arts or Social Science subject

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Yoruba
(i) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) and University of Lagos (UNILAG) require credit Mathematics.

(ii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sittings or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language and two Arts subjects one of which must be Yoruba.

(iii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) requires five credit including English, Mathematics, Yoruba and 2 of Literature in English, Igbo,  History or Government, Economics, French, IRS, CRS and Arabic.

(iv) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba requires Five ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Yoruba, Literature in English, Mathematics and one Arts subject.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Yoruba
(i) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts any three of Literature in English, History/Government, French, Geography, Math, Yoruba/Igbo crk/irs, Economics, Commerce, Arabic.

(ii) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) accepts Government but does not accept Physics

(iii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts any three subjects from Arts and Social Science subjects.

(iv) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye accepts any three Arts subject.

(v) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba accepts English, Yoruba and two of Literature in English, History,French/Arabic CRS/IRS and Government
