(ii) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) requires A/L candidates to pass English and Literature in English at credit level.

(iii) Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) and University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) – No Direct Entry.

(v) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accept NCE (merit) in Music and ND (Upper credit) in Theatre Arts; ‘A’ level passes in two Arts subjects.

(iv) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accepts (a) ND/NCE either in Theatre Arts or any other relevant subjects or Advanced level certificate in literature. (b) ND in Mass Communication, Fine and Applied Arts, Electrical/Elect. Engineering, Music, Management and other relevant areas plus UTME requirements.

(vii) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) and University of Jos (UNIJOS) accept Certificate in Drama, Theater Arts – Mass Comm. and Music. ‘A’ level passes to include English Language, Lit-in-English, plus UTME requirements.

(ix) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts Diploma in Mass Communication at merit level pass

(xi) University of Uyo accepts ND upper credit and HND (lower credit/NCE merit pass in any relevant field plus UTME requirements.

(xiii) NAU accepts two ‘A’ level passes in English and Literature in English.

(xiv) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) accepts two ‘A’ level passes one of which should be in any Literature papers e.g. Literature-inEnglish or Yoruba.

(xv) University of Jos (UNIJOS) and NFI-DEG accept ‘A’ level/IJMB pass in two or three Principal papers and other certificates in Drama, Mass Communication, Communication, Journalism with three ‘O’ level in relevant subjects including Literature in English.

(xvi) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) accepts (a) NCE (Merit) in Theatre/Performing/Creative or Communication Arts of recognised institutions plus five ‘O’ level Credit passes to include English Language at not more than two sittings. (b) A recognized Certificate in Dramatic Arts plus at least one other Certificate in the Humanities from a recognized Institution or ‘A’ Level pass in any other subject plus five ‘O’ Level Credit passes either SSCE or GCE ‘O’ Level including English Language.

(xvii) University of Abuja, Gwagwalada accepts NCE/ND in Theatre Art with at least four ‘O’ level credit passes.

(xvii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires at least two ‘A’ level passes in GCE or HSC or a recognised equivalent in any two Arts subjects. It accepts NCE with an overall Merit level pass in Music from a recognised institution.

(xviii) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye accepts two ‘A’ level passes in Arts, Social Sciences or Social Sciences or Sciences subjects and accepts also ND (Upper Credit) Diploma and NCE (Merit) in Theater/Performing/creative/ Communication /Music/Fine and Applied Arts and other relevant areas from recognised Institution.

(xix) Redeemer’s University, Mowe requires Literature in English and any other Arts subjects.

(xx) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts (a) Two ‘A’ level papers in English, Performing Arts, Journalism, Mass Communication, Creative Arts, Music and Dance, Literature in English, or any Nigerian Language at IJMB/ NCE. (b) Candidates with National Diploma must also possess pass in Literature in English. (c) General English/Use of English at NCE satisfies’ O’ level English requirement.

(xxi) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts ND in Mass Communication, business Management, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics from reputable institutions.

(xxii) Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State accepts Two ‘A’ level passes or NCE in two arts subjects.

(xxiii) Kwara State University, Ilorin (KWASU) accepts: a) 2 A’ Level in Arts and 1 social Science subject. b) ND upper credit in visual or Theatre Arts. NCE (merit) in English language, Eng. Lit. and any Arts subject. c) NCE (Merit) in music and any other Arts subject.

(xxiv) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) accepts a pass in English Literature at the Advanced level GCE, or at the Principal level in the HSC exams or merit at the NCE, and in at least one other Arts subject, Fine and Industrial Arts or Theatre Arts.

(xxv) University of Abuja, Gwagwalada accepts: A minimum of 10 points in NCE or Upper Credit in National Diploma in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements or two A’ Level credit passes including

(ii) Kwara State University, Ilorin (KWASU), University of Jos (UNIJOS), University of Uyo, Benue State University, Makurdi, Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU), University of Calabar (UNICAL) and Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) require credit pass in Literature-in-English.

(iii) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) and University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) accept five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and Literature-inEnglish plus any other Arts/Social Science subjects.

(iv) University of Benin (UNIBEN) require Literature-in-English and one Arts subject.

(v) University of Jos (UNIJOS) Fine Art is not compulsory.

(vi) University of Uyo does not require a credit pass in Fine Arts.

(vii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) requires English Language, Literature in English and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects

(viii) Redeemer’s University, Mowe accepts a pass in Mathematics.

(ix) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) accepts ABRSM Grade V and above (Music Theory) or equivalent certificate in lieu of credit pass in Literature in English.

(x) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye requires five ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English and Arts subjects.

(x) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Literature-in-English plus one Arts subject and any other two subjects.

(xii) Redeemer’s University, Mowe requires five ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Literature-in-English one other Arts subject and at least a pass in Mathematics.

(xiii) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Literature in English and any other three subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects.

(xiv) Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State requires five Credits passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language and Literature in English and at least a pass in Mathematics.

(xv) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in subjects which must include English language, Literature-inEnglish, and one science subject at WASCE or its equivalents.

(xvi) University of Abuja, Gwagwalada requires five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Literature in English and any other two subjects .

What is UTME Jamb Special Consideration (Waiver) to study Drama / Dramatic / Performing Art
(i) Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), and Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) – require another Arts subject plus any Arts or Social Science subject. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) accepts Science subject.

(ii) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) and University of Ibadan (UI) accept any 3 subjects.

(iii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts any two Arts Subjects and another subject.

(iv) Redeemer’s University, Mowe requires any two Arts subjects and Literature in English.

(v) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye requires literature in English and two other relevant subjects.

(vi) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires Literature-in-English plus another Arts subject and any other subject.

(vii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria requires Literature in English and other relevant subjects.
