But note this — Some Universities may accept D7 or E8 in some a compulsory subjects instead of Credit. And some may accept or reject two sittings. That is combinations of WAEC, NECO, or GCE results.

Special consideration (waiver) for Public Administration

  • Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK), Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli and Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu (ESUT) require ‘O’ level credits to include Mathematics.
  • Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria does not accept a combination of Local Languages and Religious Knowledge.
  • Benue State University, Makurdi, University of Abuja, Gwagwalada and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) require at least a pass in Mathematics.
  • Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – Same as in Accountancy.
  • Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) accepts two ‘A’ level or IJMB passes chosen from Accounts, Public Administration, Government and Statistics; NCE Government or ND Public Administration with at least lower credit.
  • The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires a minimum entry requirement plus a credit level pass in English Language, Government or History and Mathematics at SSCE or GCE O’ level.
  • Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires five credits in English Language, Mathematics and any 3 of Economics, Government/History and Geography at not more than 2 sittings.
  •  University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires five credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, Government/History and any other two Social Science subjects at not more than 2 sittings.
