(i) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accepts GCE ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry/Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science and Education.
(ii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires 2/3 merit passes in NCE to include Agricultural Science plus 3 ‘O’ level passes in English Language, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
(iii) EDALV, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe and River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) accept NCE (Agricultural Science) with at least credit or HND in Agriculture.
(iv) University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) and EDALV accept NCE with UTME requirements.
(v) Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as in B.Sc. Agriculture.
(vi) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) may waive Chemistry for NCE holders.
(vii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) – Two year programme a. NCEAgric, Two credits and/or merit plus three O’ level to include Chemistry, Agric Science/Biology. (b) HND, Agric Science (lower credit) plus three other O’ level credits as in (a) above. Degree Year Programme (a) NCEAgric Science ‘pass’ plus three O’ level credit. (b) HND pass in Agric Science plus three other O’ level credit. (c) ND/NCE (Upper/ lower credit) inAgric Science plus three O’ level credit.
(viii) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni accepts ‘A’ level pass in Geography/Physics in Agric with 4 O’ level credit in relevant subjects.
(x) Ekiti State University accepts a pass in NCE General English as equivalent to ‘O’ level credit in English Language.
(xi) University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) requires A’ level pass in Chemistry, Physics Biology and Agricultural Science plus O’ level requirements.
(xiii) Bauchi State University, Gadau accepts: (a) NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience. (b) N.D at merit pass/lower credit in Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject. (c) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Biology /Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.
(xiv) EDOMOK accepts for in addition to UTME requirement, (a) Merit in NCE Agricultural Science. (b) GCE A’ level in any two of the following: Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Economics. (c) National Diploma (ND) at Merit level in Agriculture or Animal Health from any Nigerian School of Agriculture. d. In addition to UTME Departmental entry requirement,
(xvii) Bowen University, Iwo accepts two ‘A’ level passes to include Chemistry and any of the following Biology/Botany, Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics and Geography/Physics.
(xviii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts two ‘A’ level passes/NCE Merit in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Agric. Science, Economics,Physics, Geography and Geology /Mathematics (Pure and Applied) ND/HND with upper credit in Agriculture or Animal Health from recognized Polytechnic or College of Agriculture.
(xix) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts (a) NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (merit). (b) HND an any field of Agriculture with at least pass, (c) ND in any field of Agriculture (credit). d. A’ level credit in Agricultural Science and any two Science subjects including Chemistry. e. NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (pass) with at least O’ level pass in Chemistry. f. NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (pass) Candidates in category (i) and (ii) must fulfil the three O’ level credit requirement including minimum pass in Chemistry. .
(xx) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni – Same as in Fine and Applied Arts Education.
(xxi) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) – Same as Vocational and Technical Education.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration to study Agricultural Science and Education
(i) Ekiti State University and University of Calabar (UNICAL) accept a pass in Chemistry.
(ii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) accepts a pass in English Language and Mathematics
(iii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) accepts a pass in English Language provided candidates have distinction in O’ level Agricultural Science.
(iv) University of Agriculture, Makurdi requires Agric and accepts either Biology or Physics.
(v) Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) accepts P. 7 in English Language and requires a credit in Chemistry.
(vi) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accepts a pass in English Language.
(vii) Bowen University, Iwo and University of Benin (UNIBEN) require five O/L credit including English Language,Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
(viii) University of Agriculture, Makurdi and University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) require credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science
(ix) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sittings or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one /two of Geography/Physics, Physics and Economics.

(xvi) Bauchi State University, Gadau requires Five ‘O’ level credit in English, Mathematics, Arithmetic, Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry or General Science and any two subjects. It accepts credit in Arithmetic, or General Science or Technical Trades in lieu of Mathematics, or Biology or Physics respectively.

(ii) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) does not require Physics, Economics and Geography/Physics.
(iii) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and Economics/Geography/Physics.
(iii) Bauchi State University, Gadau requires Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject.
(iv) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni accepts candidates with anyone science subject or Geography, Economics and Health Science.
(v) EDASAB requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and Economics/Geography.
(vi) University of Agriculture, Makurdi requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(x) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and any other Science subject.
(xi) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) requires Agric/Biology, Chemistry and any other social science subject among Economics, Geography, Government; any trade between Animal Husbandry and Fishery.
(xii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria does not accept Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
