What is O level/WAEC subject combination (requirement) for Education and Biology?
The subjects needed to study Education and Biology in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The O level requirement that is the compulsory WAEC subject combination for Education and Biology must include

What is JAMB UTME subject combination (subjects needed) for Education and Biology?
You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just an advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. Special Consideration

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Biology?
(i) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) and Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) require a pass in Physics or Mathematics.

(ii) Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK), and EDALV – same as for Educ./Chemistry.

(iii) Benue State University, Makurdi, Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU), Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), Abia State University, Uturu AND University of Abuja, Gwagwalada require NCE not below merit level.

(iv) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts NCE with credit or merit in Biology and one other Science subject.

(v) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) and Federal University of Technology, Minna accept OND/HND at lower credit and NCE (merit) in addition to four relevant UTME subjects.

(vi) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts : (a) University of Lagos (UNILAG) foundation Diploma plus UTME requirements. (b) NCE with credit/merit in biology and other Science subjects.

(vii) University of Jos (UNIJOS) accepts NCE General English in lieu of O’ level English Language and Geography/Physics as a Science subject.

(viii) Adamawa State University Mubi (ADSU) requires NCE/HND (Merit/Credit) level in relevant subjects.

(ix) Ekiti State University accepts a pass in NCE General English in lieu of ‘O’ level credit in English Language.

(x) EDKAN does not accept Integrated Science, General Science, Health Science or Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology. Also Admission is by D/E only.

(xi) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires ‘A’ level passes/2/or 3 NCE merit passes to include Biology plus 3/2 ‘O’ level credit to include English Language at one sittings.

(xiii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts Merit its own Diploma/other recognised University Diploma (Credit/Upper Credit) in Applied Microbiology, Food Brewing Science, Analytical Chemistry plus 3 ‘O’ level credit including English Language at one sittings.

(xiv) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) requires ‘A’ level passes from Biology/Botany or Zoology and Chemistry/ Geography/ Physics.

(xv) Bauchi State University, Gadau accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience)

(xvi) EDZAR – requires three A’ level passes to include Biology. Also accepts NCE in Biology and one other Science subject with a minimum of ‘C’ grade across including Education. Admission is by Direct Entry only.

(xvii) Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) accepts Diploma in Science Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and any other recognised institution.

(xviii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) accepts two ‘A’ Level credit in Biology and Chemistry or Physics. Credit level in NCE or Upper Credit in Diploma is also acceptable.

(xvix) Bowen University, Iwo accepts A/level, IJMB/NCE/OND or approved equivalent in Biology, Botany and Chemistry.

(xvx) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) accepts NCE and approved equivalent  with lower credit or acceptable pass in its own Foundation Programme.

(xvxi)  Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts (a)  NCE/’A’ level /IJMB passes with minimum of C grade in Biology and Education. (b) Its own Diploma in Biology education with a minimum of Merit Pass.

(xvxii) Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU) accepts two ‘A’ level or NCE credit/merit in Biology, Botany or Zoology and one other Science or professional subject. A-level or NCE credit/merit in Agricultural Science (double major combined with any teaching/professional subject) is acceptable.

(xiv) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni requires ‘A’ level passes from Biology/Botany or Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. Accepts credit in NCE or ND.

(xv) University of Agriculture, Makurdi accepts ND (Upper Credit) in relevant fields in addition to UTME requirement.

 What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Biology?
(i) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, EDALV and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accept a pass in Mathematics, at ‘O’ level or equivalents.

(ii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye accept a pass in English Language.

(iii) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accepts a pass in English Language provided the candidate has a distinction in ‘O’ level Biology.

(iv) EDLAV accepts P.7 in English Language or Mathematics.

(v) Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics.

(vi) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts (i) TC II and requires two other relevant Science subjects. (ii) Five ‘O’ level credit in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one other subject from Physics or Geography/Physics.

(vii) University of Uyo requires a credit in English Language..

(viii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) requires five O/Level credit which must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology and any other two Science subjects.

(ix) Bowen University, Iwo does not accept Agricultural Science as another Science subject.

(x) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sittings or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other Science subject.

(xi) Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU) requires five ‘O’ level credits which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one other subjects.

(xii) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) requires Five ‘O’ Level credit in five (5) subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology to form the core subjects, with credit in two other relevant Science subjects at not more than two sittings.

(xiii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts its Foundation Diploma plus UTME requirements of English Language, Biology, Chemistry Mathematics and one other Science Subject of Physics, Agric. Science.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Biology?
(i) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye requires Mathematics and any other one subject.

(ii) EDASAB and University of Benin (UNIBEN) accept Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

(iii)  Ekiti State University accepts Agric/Biology.

(iv) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni requires Chemistry as one of other two subjects.

(v) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) requires Chemistry.

(vi) University of Agriculture, Makurdi requires Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.
