What is Direct Entry Special Consideration to study Education and Economics
(i) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts NCE with credit or merit passes in Economics and one other subject
(ii) University of Ibadan (UI) accepts NCE graduates from all affiliated Colleges of Education into 300 level.
(iv) University of Uyo requires credit in Mathematics.
(v) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts (a) NCE merit level passes in Economics and any one of Geography, Government, and Financial Accounting. (b) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Economics, Mathematics and other subject from Geography, Government, Accounting. (c) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Geography, Government and Commerce d. Candidates must also satisfy the O/Level requirement.
(vi) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) accepts NCE (Merit) in Account or Business Education.
(vii) Benson Idahosa University, Benin City same as Business Education
(viii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts Two ‘A’ level/NCE Merit in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Agric. Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
(ix) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) accepts two ‘A’ Level credit in Economics & one other Social Sciences subject or NCE credit/merit passes in two teaching or Professional subject. NCE Business Studies/Accounting (double major combined with any teaching subject) is also acceptable.
(viii) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki requires NCE/Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Mathematics
or social studies.
(ix) Abia State University, Uturu requires credit in English.
(xii) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba requires: (a) two ‘A’ Level credit in Economics & one other relevant subject (b) NCE Merit in Economics, Business Education and one other subject. (c) Diploma at Meritlevel in Banking and Finance, Economics and Accounting.
(xiii) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) – Preference will be given to NCE holders for Direct Entry. General English at NCE level is not acceptable as a replacement for O’ Level credit
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration to study Education and Economics
(i) Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) requires candidates without credit in Mathematics to take and pass Basic Mathematics.
(ii) EDALV accept a pass in English Language.
(iii) Abia State University, Uturu, University of Jos (UNIJOS) and University of Abuja, Gwagwalada accept ‘O’ level pass in Mathematics but such candidates may be required to pass a remedial course in the 1st year.
(iv) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires O’ level credit in five subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics & Economics plus any other two subjects or Five TC II credit/merit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies
(v) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires any other Social Science subject in addition to Economics.
(vi) Ekiti State University requires two Social Science subjects.
(vii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sittings or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings in English, Mathematics, Economics and any two/three Science or Social Science.
(viii) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) requires Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalents with credit level passes in five (5) subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Economics to form the core subjects, with credit in three (3) other relevant Art or Social Science subject at not more than two sittings. The candidate must earn an acceptable score in the UTME
(ix) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki Five `O` level credits in English, Mathematics, Economics, Biology and any other social science subject.
(x) University of Lagos (UNILAG) requires credit in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Geography, History/Government, Literature-in English, Financial Accounting and Civic Education/Social Studies.
(xi) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba requires Five ‘O’ level credits at two sittings in English, Mathematics, and Economics with other credits in Commerce, Geography and Government

(i) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) requires two of Geography/Physics, Mathematics and Government.
(ii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts any other subject as the fourth subject.
(iii) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Commerce and Accounting.
(iv) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) requires Geography.
(v) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki any other subject as the third subject.
