(i) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK), Ekiti State University, University of Calabar (UNICAL), and University of Jos (UNIJOS) require ‘A’ level passes in either Physics or Mathematics. (Ekiti State University- Mathematics only). University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts NCE with credit or merit passes in Chemistry and one other subjects.
(ii) Ekiti State University, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY), University of Benin (UNIBEN), Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), accept NCE in Science subjects.
(iii) University of Abuja, Gwagwalada accepts Diploma with three ‘O’ level credits.
(iv) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Federal University of Technology, Minna and Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) accept NCE with at least a merit pass and OND/HND with at least lower credit.
(v) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts: (a) University of Lagos (UNILAG) Foundation Diploma plus O’Level requirements for Direct Entry. (b) NCE with credit/merit in Chemistry and any other science subject.
(vi) Ekiti State University and University of Jos (UNIJOS) accept ‘O’ level credit in Mathematics and English language. (a) minimum of merit pass at NCE (b) pass in General English at NCE as equivalent to ‘O’ level credit in English. (c) University of Jos (UNIJOS) does not accept NCE Integrated Science.
(vii) Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) accepts NCE (merit) in Education and the two subjects to be combined with education into 300 levels and below merit into 200 levels. Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) requires at least a pass in English Language.
(ix) EDZAR accepts candidates for D/E only.
(x) EDKAN does not accept Integrated Science for Chemistry. Accepts Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Diploma only.
(xi) Adamawa State University Mubi (ADSU) same as in Biology Education.
(xii) Bauchi State University, Gadau accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience).
(xiv) EDZAR requires three A’ level passes in NCE including Chemistry.
(xv) EDZAR requires NCE in Chemistry and one other Science subject with a minimum of ‘C’ grade across including Education.
(xvi) Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) accepts Diploma in Science Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria or any other recognised institution.
(xvii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) accepts two A/Level credit in Chemistry and any one in Physics, Mathematics or Biology. A credit in NCE or Diploma with Upper Credit is also acceptable
(xviii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) accepts two ‘A’ level/NCE passes including Chemistry and one other Sciences subject. Also accepts NCE with at least a merit pass and OND/HND with at least lower credit.
(xix) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts Two ‘A’ level passes/NCE Merit including Chemistry and one of Physics, Mathematics, and Biology
(xx) Bowen University, Iwo accepts IJMB/NCE/OND or approved equivalent in Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
(xxi) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) accepts NCE and approved equivalents with at least a lower credit. Acceptable pass in Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) Foundation Programme may also be considered.
(xxii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts University of Lagos (UNILAG) Foundation Diploma plus UTME requirements.
(xxii) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni accepts credit in any one of Physics, Mathematic or Biology in that order.
(xxiii) University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accepts (a) University Diploma/ND in other areas at distinction, credit or merit level who possess the University Minimum entry requirement plus credit in the teaching subject may be considered for direct entry admission but will run the 4-Year programme. (b) NCE credit/merit passes in addition to TCII merit or O’ level credit in relevant subjects.
(xxiv) University of Agriculture, Makurdi accepts: (a) Two A’ level credit in physics (b) Holders of UME requirements plus HSC/GCE A’ level posses in the relevant science subjects may be admitted into year II (200 level). (c) ND holders with upper credits in relevant disciplines who posses the UME requirements may be admitted into year II (200 level). (d) NCE holders with at least 2 credit in relevant subjects who possess the UME requirements may be admitted into year II (200 level).
(xxv) Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso – Candidates must obtain not less than eight (8) points in NCE.
(xvii) Sokoto State University also accepts (a) NCE with at least passes in Chemistry and any other Science subject (Physics, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science) or a double major subject with O’ level requirement. (b) IJMB passes in Chemistry and at least one Science subject (Physics, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science) with O’ level requirements. (c) ND/HND with at least credit in Chemistry or any relevant subject into 100 level.
(xviii) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Accepts NCE Merit including Chemistry, Education and one other relevant teaching subject.

(xiii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts: (a) two ‘A’ level/NCE/IJMB with a minimum of ‘C grade in Chemistry and any one other Science subjects. (b) its Diploma in Chemistry Education with a minimum of Merit Pass
